What buyers usually ask
How much does it cost?
Nothing to you. I’m a Senior Sales Pro at Jimmy Britt Chevrolet GMC. The dealership pays me. Working with me at Jimmy Britt costs you nothing extra — the dealership pays me a commission, just like any salesperson. That is separate from the $49 Out-the-Door Audit, which is a paid, independent service for buyers shopping any dealer — it stays consumer-paid on purpose so it answers to you, not to a store. There’s no upsell.
What do you need from me?
Just your email and what you’re looking for. If you have a buyer’s order in front of you, a phone photo works. I’ll read every line before we talk.
How long does it take?
24-48 hours usually. Same day during business hours if you’re actively at a dealership right now — text me directly.
Can I back out?
Anytime. This isn’t a contract, isn’t a subscription, isn’t an obligation. Talk to me. Then decide. If we’re not a fit, you’re still walking away with better information than you had before.
What happens to my info?
Stays with me. Never shared with any dealer group. Never sold. Never used to opt you into anything. See the Privacy Policy for the legal-language version.
Why working with me is different.
There’s a reason this page exists separately from the rest of carrealtalk.com. Most sales professionals introduce themselves through a list of accomplishments — schools attended, awards won, sales records hit. That’s not what makes me different to a buyer, and honestly that’s not what should make any salesperson different to a buyer. What makes me different is a published standard I hold myself to, and the fact that I’m willing to put my name on both sides of the conversation.
I run a media company that publishes — publicly, with FTC-compliant disclosures and primary-source citations — exactly how the car-buying process actually works. The Editorial Wall Policy is the contract I hold myself to as a publisher. Now I’m back on the sales floor at Jimmy Britt, working the same deals I write about. Every customer interaction is, in effect, a live audit of whether my published claims hold up in practice. My reputation as the publisher of Car Real Talk requires the deal in front of you to be as honest as the article you read on the way to the dealership.
The dual position is the moat. A typical salesperson can promise transparency. I have a published track record of it — with dated sources, vendor disclosures, and a public editorial standard I’d be embarrassed to violate. The customer who walks in having read my F&I Products Ranked guide already knows what to ask, and I know they know. That makes the conversation honest by default.
Behind all of it: eleven years in U.S. Army intelligence work as a Senior All-Source Intelligence Analyst, seven years on this same dealership floor under previous ownership, native Spanish for bilingual deals, and a network of current and former sales and F&I managers with twenty-plus years of combined experience who keep the published guidance honest. The credentials are real. The standard is published. The reputation is on the line every day I walk in.
What working with me looks like, in person.
Before we sit down across the desk, your deal sheet is built up from the base price, not negotiated down from sticker. Your trade-in is valued at honest market value — KBB, Edmunds, and wholesale checked side-by-side and shown to you before we talk numbers. The doc fee is disclosed up front rather than added at the back — and at $489 it sits at the low end statewide. Georgia sets no legal cap on doc fees, so plenty of dealers run $700 to $995; Jimmy Britt stays well under that.
When it’s time to go over the financing and protection products, every product gets explained in plain English — what it costs, what it actually covers, where the direct-buy alternative is cheaper, and which ones are honestly worth keeping. The extended warranty, the GAP insurance, the tire and wheel protection, the paint and fabric — none of them get pitched to you the way they get pitched to most buyers. You see the menu price, you hear the buyer-side math, and you decide. Buy what’s worth it for your situation, skip what isn’t. Either way the conversation happens before the signature, not after.
If you’re a veteran, active duty, reservist, retiree, or a spouse or dependent of an eligible service member, the GM Military Appreciation Program ($500 cash plus a vehicle-specific match) goes on your deal automatically. You don’t have to ask. I’ll quote USAA, Navy Federal, PenFed, and our dealership lender side-by-side and you take whichever wins on rate. Active-duty buyers PCS-ing through Georgia can structure remote deals with delivery timed to move dates. Service-connected disability buyers qualify for the GM Mobility Reimbursement Program (up to $1,000 toward adaptive equipment).
If you’d rather do the entire transaction in Spanish, that’s available too — not as a translation layer but as the working language. The contract, the F&I products, the financing terms, the trade-in math, the warranty discussion, the title and registration walkthrough, all in whichever language you read more carefully. We work with lenders that accept ITIN, programs for buyers with limited credit history (Capital One Auto Navigator, Westlake Financial), and co-signer arrangements when those make sense.
Working with me costs nothing extra. You pay the same price as any other buyer at Jimmy Britt. The difference is who’s on your side of the desk while the deal gets built.
Make sure the deal comes to me.
Whether you reach out before you visit or just walk in — make sure I’m the one helping you. The way commission and lead attribution work at a dealership means the deal needs to be tagged to my name from the first contact. Here’s how that happens, by channel:
Fastest path: call me at (762) 815-7105.
Cell: (762) 815-7105. I respond within an hour during sales hours. Email [email protected] works too — but texts get answered first.
Walking in without an appointment.
Tell the receptionist or whoever greets you on the floor: “I’m here to see Manny Ruiz.” They’ll page me directly. If I’m busy with a customer, give me a few minutes — I’ll make sure you’re taken care of and come find you.
Calling Jimmy Britt’s main number.
Ask the operator for me by name: “Can I speak with Manny Ruiz?” The call routes directly to me.
Filling out an online form on jimmybrittchevrolet.com.
Add to your message: “I’d like to work with Manny Ruiz.” That tags the lead to me from the first touch.
Submitting through a third-party channel — USAA car-buying service, Navy Federal, the manufacturer site, military.com, Edmunds, TrueCar, anywhere else? Mention me by name in any free-text field. Or just call me at (762) 815-7105 with the VIN or stock number you’re looking at, and I’ll handle the routing internally so the lead comes to me on Jimmy Britt’s end.
The point: whichever channel you use, the deal needs to be tagged to Manny Ruiz. That’s how my reputation as the publisher of Car Real Talk gets verified through real transactions — and that’s how I get to keep helping you after the sale.
