Editorial Wall Policy

Real Talk Media Group operates under a written Editorial Wall Policy. Its purpose: to keep editorial judgments (what we publish, who we list, what we recommend) structurally separate from any commercial relationship we may have or develop.

Five Rules

1. No commercial relationships with dealers or OEMs.

No payment, sponsorship, affiliate revenue, referral fees, or equity from dealerships, dealer groups, or vehicle manufacturers. Dealers Who Earn It is an unpaid editorial list; inclusion cannot be bought.

2. Affiliate relationships are disclosed, not hidden.

We earn affiliate commissions from consumer product providers we cover (extended warranties, insurance, vehicle history, inspection services, Amazon). Every page that carries affiliate links says so at the top, and commissions never influence coverage decisions. We compare and explain these products; we do not publish “best of” rankings in categories where we earn commission.

3. No pre-publication review.

No subject of coverage — friendly or adversarial — reviews our articles before publication. No advertiser, affiliate partner, or administrator sees drafts. Fact-checking is done by us, independently.

4. Sources are protected.

Ex-employees and industry insiders who speak to us are protected by source-confidentiality practices standard in journalism. We verify their claims against at least one independent second source before publishing.

5. Corrections are public.

We publish corrections at the top of affected articles, with date and substance of the change. We do not quietly edit the historical record.
